What is Nano Infusion?
Nano-infusion is a gentle, non-invasive skin treatment that uses superfine, silicone-tipped stampers to create micro-channels in the very top layer of your skin. Unlike traditional microneedling, it doesn’t penetrate deeply—it simply opens up tiny pathways so serums can sink in more effectively. The device glides over your skin, infusing targeted blends of antioxidants, peptides, or hyaluronic acid right where you need them. You get boosted absorption with zero bleeding and minimal redness. It’s essentially the spa-treatment equivalent of giving your skin a VIP backstage pass for all your favorite serums!
Nano Infusion vs Microneedling & Microchanneling
While Microneedling and Microchanneling use metal needles that puncture into the dermis, nano-infusion uses super-fine, non-sharp silicone or polymer tips that barely break the surface of the epidermis. This means nano-infusion delivers active ingredients without the tiny “injuries” that Microneedling or Microchanneling does, so there’s virtually no downtime or peeling. You still get a seriously hydrated, glowing canvas because your skin can absorb products up to 200% better. It’s perfect if you love the idea of deeper skin nourishment but hate the thought of redness and needle marks. Think of it as the mellow cousin of the micros!
What skin conditions will it help with?
Does Nano Infusion hurt?
Most clients describe nano-infusion as a light tapping or gentle vibration rather than anything painful—there’s no need for numbing cream. Since the tips don’t actually break blood vessels, you’ll feel comfortable the entire time and can even chat or catch up on Instagram between passes. A tiny bit of warmth or tingling is normal as the product penetrates, but there’s zero sharp sensation. Immediately afterward, your skin may appear mildly pink, like you just came back from a brisk walk. That glow is your cue to grab the mirror and admire how fresh-faced you look!
What are the top benefits of Nano Infusion
Nano-infusion supercharges product absorption, so your serums, peptides, and hydrators really sink in rather than sitting on the surface. It improves skin texture, plumps fine lines with deep-down hydration, and can help even out tone by delivering brightening ingredients directly where they’re needed. Because it’s so gentle, it’s safe on sensitive skin, rosacea, and around delicate areas like the eyes and lips. You’ll walk out looking dewy and refined without any flaking or peeling—perfect for a lunch-hour pick-me-up. Plus, it preps your skin beautifully for any follow-up treatments or makeup application.
Are there any contraindications?
While microneedling is generally safe, there are several important reasons to postpone treatment until the skin is healthy and ready. You should avoid needling over active acne, open wounds, eczema flares, or any skin infections to prevent spreading bacteria or delayed healing. Those prone to keloid or hypertrophic scarring, recent isotretinoin users, people on blood thinners or with bleeding disorders, and anyone who is immunosuppressed should also steer clear unless cleared by a medical professional. Finally, many practitioners recommend delaying microneedling during pregnancy or nursing as a precaution.
What is the aftercare?
Right after treatment, keep your skin hydrated with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or a calming serum—nothing too chunky or oil-heavy. Always wear broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every day for at least a week, since your skin is extra primed to soak up not just beneficial ingredients but also UV rays. Skip active exfoliants, retinoids, and harsh acids for 48 hours to let your skin reset and fully absorb your serums. A soothing sheet mask or cold compress can help if you experience any slight warmth or sensitivity. With this simple TLC, your fresh infusion results will last and keep your complexion looking radiant!
